Why avg antivirus always automatically perform scan!?

i am using avg free edition, but it always suddenly perform scan and interrupt my work. Do anyone know how to set to let it not automatically perform scan

load the AVG program

to the left there should be a pane with 5 options

scheduler is the 4th one, click it and look to the right for test plan in basic mode, either delete it if you definitely dont want it, or click edit to modify the scheduler.

U have to edit the scheduler, or u can just delete it completeltey by going into it's folder. I have the same program, but I don't use auto-scan. However...I do u recommend that you do a scan ATLEAST every 2 days if you are downloading from Limewire, Torrents, the internet in general, if you don't then you will have literaly HUNDREDS of tracking codes on your computer
you have it shceduled to do so. to disable it. go to control panel%26gt;scheduled tasks%26gt; and delete the avg entry.
Personally, I suggest that you let it do the autoscan. It keeps you more alert about viruses in the computer.
start%26gt;%26gt; "RUN" and types "msconfig" %26gt;%26gt; on "Start Up" tabs , uncheck program you don't want to run when start up ( don't check all , just what program you know)
